NBC News Creative & Design Internships-NBC Universal-New York, NY

Artworks

This intern will learn the design process and contribute to the daily graphic production. They will also learn about
the process of integrating graphics on air. We are looking for interns majoring in Graphic Design or Animation with
experience in Adobe Suite and Cinema 4D.    

Digital Art & Photo

The NBC News Digital Art and Photo Department works with the editorial departments across our newsrooms to
photo edit, illustrate, and create visual design work for our sites, apps, and social platforms. This intern will work
with art directors, reporters, and editors to select and edit images for articles on today.com, msnbc.com, and/or
nbcnews.com, and our digital platforms. They will produce conceptual, photo-based illustrations with Photoshop
and Illustrator and design and produce social graphics.

NBC News Audience Development & Engagement: Newsletters & Paid Media, SEO   

The Audience Development team is a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team that is deeply embedded in
departments across the News Digital org – editorial, product, e-commerce, data and analytics, to name a few. The
primary goal of the Audience Development team is to acquire new audiences and grow existing ones, using real-time
data and analytics to inform success. Major responsibilities of the team include SEO (search engine optimization),
paid content distribution and performance marketing, newsletter operations and tech, and reengagement and
recirculation tactics. Interns on this team have an amazing opportunity to participate in all of these responsibilities
and partner directly with writers, editors, producers and executives.

NBC News Marketing & Post-Production   

The intern is a member of the NBC News Marketing team where they will aid in the production and post-production of
advertising, promotion and marketing materials for NBC News. They will develop understanding of the network brands
by supporting day-to-day operations of the creative team. Interns will have the opportunity to engage in a portfolio
project allowing them to learn and grow in creative and strategic skillsets.

NBC News Social & TODAY Social

You will be responsible for helping drive social media production and publication to multiple social media accounts.
You will be writing headlines, editing video and graphics, and distributing content across social media platforms.

TV Entertainment & USG Marketing, Communications & Brand Strategy Internships-

Brand Marketing- Bravo: Intern will support a highly dynamic marketing team in concepting, developing, and executing
marketing campaigns for Bravo. This includes brand initiatives including experiential marketing programs, tentpole
cultural events and activations, strategic partnerships, and E-commerce merchandising initiatives. The intern will also
be responsible for monitoring cultural trends on both a macro and micro level and conducting competitive research to
inform our marketing and promotional strategies. The ideal candidate will have a creative sensibility and strategic
acumen, will be a highly organized self-starter while demonstrating thorough attention to detail, and thrive in a
fast-paced environment  


Entertainment Communications- Unscripted: Support communications efforts by maintaining and updating press lists,
preparing for press junkets, monitoring press breaks and compiling clip packets, researching media outlets & contacts,
and compiling coverage reports, draft tune-ins, assist with press releases and various writing assignments/research projects.


Entertainment Communications- Scripted: The scripted comms team supports PR efforts for all scripted series across
NBCU broadcast and cable TV networks. While every day will be different, the scripted comms intern can expect to work
with team members across both coasts and on a variety of series. Opportunities include (but are not limited to) helping
track big stories surrounding series, research journalists, publications and trends, garner experience in PR-centric writing,
attend team and series meetings, and more


Entertainment Communications- Late Night: Our team oversees publicity for the late night shows and various specials
programming across the NBCU portfolio. Our intern can expect to gain an in-depth understanding of publicity and insight
into the numerous strategies the Entertainment PR team employs, and how they differ from show to show. Interns can also
expect to gain a heightened ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize, organize, and communicate. They will receive
exposure to any virtual press days/junkets, interviews, and events  


NBC Marketing & Brand Strategy: The Marketing and Brand Strategy team communicates with all departments to build
strategies and marketing campaigns for NBC Entertainment primetime and late-night programming, in addition to leading
promotional activations. The marketing intern will support the brand team throughout these processes, partake in weekly
trainings, attend meetings and assist in daily tasks to understand brand’s role throughout a show’s lifecycle  

Social Media Marketing: Create fan social sentiment/conversation reports the night after priority episode airings, approve
and identify content for NBC Entertainment-owned channels’ YouTube Community Tabs and YouTube Shorts, identify trends
on TikTok and ideate ways for NBC to participate in trending conversations, attend weekly social team and show specific
meetings, perform social media marketing and competitive research as needed, digital and social sales campaign
tracking management    

Syndication Studios Marketing: Creating promotional materials, assisting with digital accounts, acting as a liaison to local
station affiliates across the country, and assisting on special event projects, deck building and copy editing, symphony
support for both on-air and digital, photo gallery selections of daily shows, creative ideation and assisting with copy/video
editing, analytics on original content and media campaigns collaborate with marketing team on new launch and promo
ideas, assist with creative materials for sales and promotions   

TV Entertainment & USG Production, Development & Programming Internships-NBC Universal- New York, NY

Entertainment Casting: Maintain internal talent database, curate daily casting news from trades, create grids for upcoming
theater/comedy events and film festivals, compile ongoing list of upcoming TV premiere dates, learn essential casting
software (Breakdown Express, CasIt, IMDb, etc), become familiar with the casting process for NBCUniversal scripted shows
(read scripts, see breakdowns, etc.)

Entertainment Current Production- Unscripted: Watch episode cuts of shows in production and provide notes. Entertainment
Content production interns will also assist producers with pulling clips, read and summarize hot sheets for shows in production,
as well as update department lists and grids, create trade reports regarding the latest in entertainment, pop culture, the news,
etc, and assist Production Coordinators with ad hoc projects as needed   

Multiplatform Strategy & Planning: We are looking for an intern who can join the team and make a large impact across the
biggest show campaigns, scripted and non-scripted series, news and live events within our portfolio. This individual will be
tasked with planning and scheduling daily logs on selected networks and working with the overall marketing group to
determine
the best approach to take when we receive our plethora of promotional content  

Post-Production Operations: The Post Operations team partners with team members across the Creative Marketing, Engineering,
Technology, Digital and Social teams. This arm of our team helps innovate, align and improve efficiencies for all post production
workflow across the ELG Marketing Supply Chain. Interns will assist the Operations and Post Operation team with fulfilling
media requests; maintaining team documents, support Creative and Production, effectively, continuously, in a timely manner
communicate project status and delivery timelines to all parties, lead and maintain trackers and communication for tasks
including onboarding new Production Companies, Vendors and Staff to NBCUniversal servers, tools and workflows
